Frieze Masters 2025

Not long after visiting the FAB art fair in Paris, Biblioteca de Arte set off again, this time to England!

The 2025 London edition of the fair (part of Frieze London 2025 and Frieze Masters week) featured 123 exhibitors from around 26 countries in the Masters section, with a total of over 280 galleries participating in both events. Frieze Masters focuses on works of old master art, 20th-century classics and design, which distinguishes it from the more contemporary profile of Frieze London. The fair was a place of intense sales activity and meetings between galleries, collectors and institutions, as confirmed by reports of ‘very strong sales’. The event showed that the market for classic works continues to generate interest, while maintaining a connection with contemporary art and an experimental presence in the second arm of the fair. Frieze Masters 2025 is a ‘bridge’ between ancient and contemporary art, and the event maintains a high prestige among collectors of ancient art. During its stay in London, Biblioteca de Arte visited a new and interesting place on the London art map, namely the V&A Storehouse.

V&A East Storehouse is a new, active warehouse and exhibition centre of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, opened on 31 May 2025. Located in Here East in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, it is free of charge and offers a glimpse behind the scenes of the museum and its collections. The museum has over 1,000 archives. https://www.vam.ac.uk/east/storehouse/visit
